Our Story
At becaus., clothing is a canvas for craft, culture, and stories worth wearing.
Founded in Jaipur in 2023 by Naman Arora and Sahil Kataria, becaus. was born from a shared belief that fashion and art were never meant to be separate. What began as a curiosity to explore clothing through an artistic lens has grown into a mindful brand rooted in storytelling and craftsmanship.
Every piece we create carries the mark of a human hand — block printed, embroidered, hand-painted, dyed, and designed with intention. Working alongside artisan communities across India, we reinterpret traditional craft techniques through contemporary silhouettes, creating garments that feel both meaningful and modern.
This is more than clothing. It is craft, made wearable.
Why becaus.?
Every mystery has a reason. Every feeling has an explanation. And almost always, it begins with the word because. We believe there is an artist in everyone, and there is craft and beauty all around us. Yet, for different reasons, many of us drift away from it. That thought inspired our name.
We dropped the “e” from because, added a full stop, and left the rest unfinished.
