Behind every becaus. piece is a pair of hands that have spent a lifetime perfecting something worth preserving.

We work alongside artisan communities across India, learning their craft, understanding their process, and building clothing that carries their legacy forward. Every print, weave, and stitch is a conversation between tradition and intention.

We believe that craft is not a footnote to fashion, it is the foundation of it. India's artisanal heritage is one of the richest in the world, and our purpose is to ensure it is seen, celebrated, and sustained for generations to come.

Our vision is simple. To bring every Indian craft to the world, and ensure the hands behind it are never forgotten.

Meet Rajesh Ji

Block Print · Screen Print · Hand Paint

"Every handmade design makes the garment one of a kind. No two pieces look the same. That is not a flaw. That is the whole point."

Born into Sanganer's printing heritage, Rajesh Ji carries four generations of craft in his hands. He was one of the first artisans becaus. was built with, and remains at the heart of how every print comes to life.
His speciality: Block printing, screen printing, hand and spray painting. A rare mastery across techniques that most artisans spend a lifetime choosing between.

Meet Jamal Bhai

Hand Embroidery · Punch Needle · Zari · Zardozi · Kantha

"The new generation wants speed. But embroidery does not negotiate. It takes exactly as long as it takes. That is what makes it worth wearing."

Forty years of embroidery have taught Jamal Bhai more than technique. They have taught him what patience really means. From his unit in Ramganj, he leads a team of artisans across some of the most intricate traditions in India.
His speciality: Punch needle, zari, zardozi, and kantha work. Each a craft that cannot be rushed, and in Jamal Bhai's hands, never is.

Meet Mahesh Ji

Dabu Printing · Natural Dyeing

"Before you print, you must understand. The craft will not forgive you if you skip that part."

Based in Bagru, a town whose relationship with natural dyeing stretches back centuries, Mahesh Ji has spent 35 years not just practising Dabu printing but pushing it into new territory. His curiosity for the craft is as deep as his expertise.
His speciality: Dabu resist printing and natural dyeing. A process rooted in the earth, quite literally, and one of the most labour-intensive crafts we have had the privilege of working alongside.
